We're partnering with Climate Fresk to offer this unique climate education workshop to the San Diego climbing community! Tickets are free to Asylum members (see the front desk for a code) and $5 to nonmembers.  After the workshop, nonmembers are invited to check out the gym and will receive a 50% discount on a day pass.  Come for the climate education, stay for the climbing!

What is Climate Fresk?
Climate Fresks are 3-hour collaborative workshops and fun ways to learn about climate change. Participants work together to arrange 42 cards illustrating concepts from the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) reports. The workshops raise awareness about climate change in a playful and collaborative way.

Why should you participate?
In the face of this emergency, everyone must be able to understand climate change, make sense of the information, form an opinion, accept the necessary changes for the preservation of life on the planet, and act quickly!  

How the workshop works
Participants gather around a table in teams of 4 to 7 people. Together, they discover cards representing the different components of climate change and work together to connect them to highlight links between cause and effect. A Fresker supervises one or more teams and guides them using a collective intelligence approach. The Fresker then facilitates an exchange to debrief and explore solutions.

A workshop accessible to everyone
Climate Fresk workshops are suitable for all audiences and all levels of understanding. They are appropriate for novices as well as the more aware who wish to deepen their knowledge on climate issues.
